I'm a licensed therapist and also someone who knows firsthand that relationships can be hard. When our relationships - with ourselves and others - become distant and disconnected, we can feel stuck and unsure how to move forward. I can help you navigate the path towards healing, growth, and meaningful connection.
Over the years, I've paid close attention to who I work with best, and built my practice around that. That focus means the couples and individuals I see get a therapist who has specialized training directly relevant to what they're facing.
I believe the strongest results come from combining clinical expertise with genuine collaboration. You bring the lived experience. I bring the training and the framework. Together, we build a plan specific to your relationship or your situation, not a one-size-fits-all model.
Every couple or individual I work with starts with a clear assessment, identifying the specific strengths and challenges at play before we ever talk about a plan. From there, we build a treatment plan together, with concrete goals and a clear cadence for reaching them.
I have completed Level 3 of the Gottman Method training and in the process of becoming a Gottman Certified Therapist. I'm also trained in EMDR and use attachment-based and somatic interventions where clinically appropriate, tailored to your specific situation, not applied as a template.
I'm a trained EMDR clinician, using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to help clients work through trauma, anxiety, and depression. EMDR is backed by decades of research and is often effective in cases where talk therapy alone has plateaued, giving clients a path forward when they feel stuck.
I've completed Level 3 training in the Gottman Method, one of the most researched approaches to couples therapy available, built on over 40 years of clinical study. I'm currently completing the requirements to become a Gottman Certified Therapist, deepening a specialization I already use with couples every week.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), licensed to practice in Colorado, Iowa, and Missouri. Licensure means I've met rigorous state requirements around education, supervised clinical hours, and ongoing ethical standards, so you can feel confident in the training and care I bring to our work together.
I currently accept a limited number of insurance plans for individual counseling. Please reach out to confirm whether your plan is in-network before scheduling, as availability may be limited. At CGC, Couples Counseling is ineligible for commercial insurance billing.
For clients whose insurance isn't accepted, a superbill is available upon request for out-of-network reimbursement.
24 hours' notice required to cancel or reschedule; sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged in full
Individual sessions:
$150 / 55 minutes
Couples sessions:
$200 / 55 minutes or
$275 / 80 minutes
Cancellation policy:
Straightforward information about session fees, cancellations, and how to use out-of-network benefits, so the practical details are never a barrier to getting started.
Individual sessions are $150 for 55 minutes. Couples sessions are $200 for 55 minutes, or $275 for the standard 80-minute session most couples use for their ongoing work together.
I'm largely a private pay practice, which allows me to offer greater confidentiality and focus fully on providing the best care for my clients, without insurance companies dictating session length, frequency, or treatment approach. That said, I do work with a limited number of insurance panels, and we can talk through what might work for your situation during your free consultation.
If cost is a factor, I'm happy to talk through options during your free consultation. I also provide a superbill upon request, which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement, so it's worth checking with your plan about that benefit ahead of time.
That depends on your goals. We'll build a plan together early on, and revisit it as you make progress, so the pace and length of therapy stays something we decide together, not something set in advance.
The free 15-minute consultation is a chance for us to connect before committing to ongoing work together. You can ask questions about my approach and experience, and I'll share how I typically work with clients like you.
Most importantly, it's an opportunity for both of us to get a sense of fit, since therapy works best when you feel confident in the person you're working with.
That's more common than you'd think, and it doesn't have to stop you from reaching out. Many couples start with just one partner curious about counseling. Feel free to schedule the free consultation yourself, we can talk through how to bring it up, and what to expect if you decide to move forward together.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-backed approach used to treat trauma, anxiety, and depression. Rather than relying solely on talk therapy, EMDR helps you process difficult memories and experiences so they no longer feel stuck or overwhelming. Many clients find it especially helpful when past experiences continue to affect their present-day relationships or sense of self.
Both. I see clients in person at my office in Lakewood, Colorado, and I also offer telehealth sessions for clients located anywhere in Colorado, Iowa, or Missouri.
Many clients choose a mix of both, meeting in person when possible and switching to virtual sessions around travel, illness, or a busy week.
You can book directly using the online scheduling calendar, available for both new and current clients. You're also welcome to reach out through the contact form or by email, and I'll respond within 24 hours, Monday through Friday.
